The London System gone chaos!

The London System, as white, has a reputation for being a solid setup that works against almost any defence black throws against it, with virtually no "refutation" per se. Most of the times, it leads to a quiet, positional game. In general, white has the advantage on move 1 due to its extra tempo, but in the London system, black can equalise easily. Some may call it lazy, some call it boring.

But the truth is, it is one of current world champion Magnus Carlsen's favourite openings, and he plays it often in top tier tournaments. If you just want a solid opening and play a positional middle game, you can't go wrong with the London system. That's why in all of my games as white I almost always play the London System. Call me lazy or boring or whatever.

But when playing against it, it sure is boring! That's why in this game I played as black just a few minutes ago, I decided to throw my opponent off guard by not playing the top book moves.
